‘My first bra - not the prettiest of items of clothing but very practical. At the time, three years ago, it was not a necessity for support but helped me to feel the person I knew I was. Having fought against those ‘just a phase’ comments for so long, it was such a relief when I could dress and behave as the person I knew inside and was now prepared to be in the outside world. I am me and could not be happier.’
