‘When I came out to my family, no one seemed to understand how or why this happened. Everyone carried on with their lives and I felt extremely unaccepted months went by and Christmas of 2015 and I was very excited to know it was my first Christmas as a boy. And I had worries about this. I wouldn’t accept me who I was. But that morning I woke up to these socks at the end of my bed. from the boys section. I took this as a sign of acception. I continue to get many versions of orange socks and this experience has helped me to give them out too.’
